I went to Brighton today
Dec. 17th, 2018 06:14 pmThere's a city here called Brighton. Since I'm a nerd, I can't help but think of Pride & Prejudice whenever I go there. There's no officers for me to run off with and get married to there, but I'll live. Anyway, on the way up, me and this guy were going off about a Star Wars Pride & Prejudice AU. At first, I was thinking about a Kylux one, but he thought it would be better with prequel characters.
It's about an hour drive. So we had plenty of time to decide who would be who. Obviously, Padme is Mr. Darcy, which leaves Anakin as Elizabeth. We also decided that Obi-Wan is Jane and Satine is Bingley. I think we also decided that it does take place on Earth in Regency-era England, except there's aliens. Because it's more fun if there's just randomly a Hutt in that clothing style.
This is probably something that should have stayed just as a silly verbal conversation. But I felt compelled to write some terrible stuff. So here's the first part of it. Which is pretty much stolen from the first chapter of Pride and Prejudice.
